The Viva Foundation was founded in South Africa, in 2007 by Leon and Meleney Kriel with the aim to alleviate poverty, by addressing its immediate impact and remedy its causes.
The vision is to be instrumental in transformation and the mission is to create service hubs within high-priority poverty areas from where the organisation and its partners can uplift the surrounding community.
What we do:
Children and Youth are at the centre of the organisation's focus. Programmes, projects and initiatives are aimed at the child, and circles further to include his and her family, community and society.
Specialist Independent Education bring quality and equality to the learning experience of underprivileged children.
In addition to education, the organisation adds food security, the development of the Arts and safety from harm to provide an immediate and long-term impact.
Why do we do it:
Viva wants to give a child a better world to live in and a bright future, because that is how society will change. The CHILD is the building block of a better tomorrow. Poverty is a concealer of potential and our interventions unveils it.
